Planteur: Recipe & Instructions


Planteur
This sunny-coloured cocktail is a version of Planter's Punch made not with standard rum but with rhum agricole, a distilled spirit made from fermented sugar cane juice (rather than fermented molasses, from which most rums are derived).

To make a Planteur you will need the following equipment:
  • Shaker​

Recipe:
​Ingredients & Garnish

Ingredients
Rhum blanc agricole (60ml / 2oz)
Fresh orange juice (35ml)
Fresh pineapple juice (35ml)
Fresh lemon juice (20ml)
Grenadine syrup (10ml)
Sugar syrup (10ml)
3 or 4 dashes of Angostura bitters​
Garnish
Orange slice or pineapple triangle
​Cocktail cherry​

Method: How to Make a Planteur​

  • 1. Add all the ingredients to a shaker & fill the shaker with crushed ice
  • 2. Shake well
  • 3. Pour into a Collins glass
  • 4. Add the Angostura bitters
  • 5. Garnish with a cocktail cherry & an orange slice or pineapple triangle
